Dr. Davis is professor of history and philosophy of economics at the University of Amsterdam and professor of economics at Marquette University. He is the author of Keynes's Philosophical Development (Cambridge,1994), The Theory of the Individual in Economics (Routledge, 2003), editor of Social Economics of Health Care (Routledge, 2001), New Economics and Its History (Duke, 1998), co-editor of The Handbook of Economic Methodology (Elgar, 1998), and co-editor of The Blackwell Companion to the History of Economic Thought (2003). Among the journals he has published in are Cambridge Journal of Economics, Economic Journal, Review of Political Economy, History of Political Economy, Economics and Philosophy, The European Journal of the History of Economic Thought, and Journal of Economic Methodology. He has been a visiting professor at Cambridge University, Duke University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He was previously the editor of the Review of Social Economy and is currently co-editor of the Journal of Economic Methodology .
