Profile: Scott Goldsworthy

Scott Goldsworthy works for G.E. Medical Systems as a Radiology Account Manager in Pensacola, Florida. In this position, it is his responsibility to offer radiology imaging solutions to hospitals and diagnostic imaging centers that meet both clinical and financial needs. In general radiology has changed from a purely clinical modality, obtaining that correct diagnosis and increasing diagnostic confidence, to a clinical profit centered modality where clinical outcomes must be balanced by P&L statements. His MBA has allowed him to better understand the dynamic changes in healthcare and the challenges that hospital administrators are facing.
Scott tells us, "As a full time working student, there were a number of criteria that were extremely important to me when selecting an MBA program. My first criterion was the ability to achieve a good work-life balance and the second was to be convenient. The Waukesha MBA program provided both balance and convenience in the ability to go to class one night a week and it was centrally located to G.E. Medical Systems Headquarters. The third criterion I looked for was having professional working peers as my student peers. This was important for two reasons; one, I wanted to be able to learn from other business professionals throughout the program and two, working professionals generally have the same agenda and work ethic, which is important when completing group projects. Lastly, I wanted a program that provided a healthy balance between real world business and theoretical business and the Marquette MBA program provides a great balance."
