IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Read before filling out Course Approval Form

First, get a list of the 2008 summer courses from the institution that you wish to take the course at. Most schools will not have that list ready until early March.

Second, identify the course(s) that you wish to take at another institution to transfer and make a copy of the course description.

Third, submit the form to the College of Business Administration Dean’s Office (DS 101).

  • Upon submitting the form, we will make our decision (approved or not) in writing so you know if the course will transfer. Please stop by the Dean’s Office three days after you submit the form to pick up the decision in the STUDENT PICK UP tray!

Important facts about Transfer Courses

  • All courses (business or non business) must be approved through the Bus Ad Dean’s Office.
  • Usually, ALL BUSINESS COURSES are expected to be taken at MU. If you recently transferred or are behind, we will consider transferring a sophomore level course (e.g, ECON 44) to assist you in catching up. However, we expect that all business courses are to be taken here.
  • You need to earn a “C” grade or better for the course to transfer.
  • If approved and passed, the credits transfer NOT the grade. Your MU gpa is only courses taken @ MU.
  • Correspondence, internet, independent study or video courses are not acceptable for transfer.

  • Upon completion of the course, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to have your official transcript sent to the Registrar’s Office @ Marquette University. All transcripts must be received by the Office of the Registrar 5 business days prior to the graduation date.
