Features of a business education at Marquette University:
Marquette's Accounting Program is accredited by AACSB International. Marquette's program is one of the two accredited accounting programs in the State of Wisconsin; less than 25% of accounting programs nationwide have this accounting recognition.

If an accounting major plans/schedules appropriately and is accepted into Marquette's Graduate School, they could earn a Master's Degree in Accounting in only one additional year.

The College of Business Administration and the Law School have a joint undergraduate / law degree program called the Pre-Law Scholars Program. The Pre-Law Scholars program allows students to reduce from seven years to six years the total time needed to complete the bachelor's and law degrees.
- In the first three years of the Pre-Law Scholars program, students will complete the core curriculum and major requirements. Courses taken in the fourth year (the first year of law school) count as electives for the bachelor's degree and toward the completion of the law degree.
- Students may choose any major in business in the Pre-Law Program. However, students majoring in accounting will need to take two courses in summer school; also, depending on foreign language placement, international business majors may need to take summer school courses.
- Admission to the Pre-Law Scholars program is offered only to five incoming first-year students, ordinarily during the spring prior to their freshmen year based on the following criteria:
- Application
- High school class rank (upper 10%)
- Test Scores (SAT combined score of 1260 or ACT composite score of 28)
- Interview for semifinalists
- Essay
- Admission of freshmen beginning in 2005 guarantees the Scholar a place in Marquette Law School's first-year class of 2008, after completion of the third year of undergraduate studies (and having earned at least 99 credits) in the College of Business Administration. Students will maintain a place in the Law School by fulfilling the following requirements:
- Maintain a minimum cumulative 3.4 GPA. in the undergraduate program.
- Earn a score on the Law School Admissions Test that is equal to or greater than the median score of the class admitted to the Law School in the year before the Scholar's enrollment in the Law School (i.e., the first-year class of 2007). Students may take the LSAT as many times as needed to earn this score, but should bear in mind that the Law School relies on the average of all the LSATs a student has taken.
- Meet the Law School's standards for character and fitness.
Students may choose to complete the fourth year as an undergraduate; in such a case, the student will be guaranteed a place in the Law School entering class the following year, provided the academic standards of the program are met. While the Law School is bound to hold a place for Scholars who meet all requirements, students are not obligated to attend Marquette's Law School. Students may elect to complete the undergraduate degree in the College of Business Administration

Much of our success is tied to our relevance in the business community. The centers housed in the College of Business Administration promote the interactions required to build and share our knowledge through research and service to business.
Each center specializes in a specific area of business, bringing together faculty, students and the community to address business issues for the mutual benefit of all parties.
The College of Business Administration has revised the curriculum in both the business and non-business core requirements. Below are the highlights of the revisions:
CORE OF COMMON STUDIES - Our newly revamped Core of Common Studies defines requirements in terms of the knowledge, skills and value dispositions that students will acquire, rather than specific courses. This approach provides students the opportunity to choose from among the variety of approved courses - those with the specific content that best meets their individual interests and needs for their major. These knowledge areas include: Mathematical Reasoning, Science and Nature, History of Cultures and Societies, Rhetoric, Diverse Cultures, Literature and Performing Arts, Individual and Social Behavior, Theology, and Human Nature and Ethics.
BUSINESS CORE - Our newly revamped core within the College of Business Administration adds features designed to facilitate students' transition from school to the business world. A series of one-credit courses, one each year, will be designed around business communication skills, teambuilding, career development and leadership. Each student will compile a portfolio showcasing his or her accomplishments throughout the four years. The portfolios are designed to aid students to clarify their career aspirations and focus their academic preparation toward that goal that can then be utilized in their job search.
